We have seen some general tips on how to reduce the risks of cancer. Now let us see what the food items to eat & avoid are, which are related to cancer. You can have canned or cooked pumpkin, which has the highest beta carotene of any of the food items. The other food items you can have are lightly cooked carrots, which are better than raw because the carotenoids are released by light cooking, sweet potatoes, green leafy vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, & also broccoli sprouts, greens mustards. Even chick peas, kidney beans, lentils are good, & soybeans stimulate some of the cancer preventing enzymes. There are other lot of items which you can consume, they are, tomatoes, especially cooked tomatoes, then garlic, onions, 97% or more fat free lunch meats, homemade low fat pizza, walnuts, brown rice, whole grain breads, fat free skimmed milk, oatmeal, green tea, red or black grapes, grape juice, apricots, dates, prunes, homemade fat-free yogurt, & many more. Now the food items that you should avoid are meats with 96% or less fat content, red meats, hydrogenated oils, food such as whole milk or creams such as cheese which contain high butter fat & other animal fats, full fat yogurt, butter, sauces, & also deep-fried foods.
